How to Pick PGA Championship Winners?
One important note when picking a winner for the PGA Championship is that the venue changes each year. It’s important to find out where the PGA Championship is being held and to research golfers that have seen success on that course or similar courses.
Some golfers prefer Bermuda grass over Bentgrass, and some prefer Poa Annua. Other golfers prefer open courses with a seafront for wind and spin, while others prefer tight and narrow fairways surrounded by trees and no wind.
When selecting a team for your PGA Championship pools, or betting on a winner in the futures market, understanding the course type and course preferences of players is very important.
Why is Playing in PGA Championship Pools Better Than Betting?
The chances of winning money increase when competing in a pool rather than betting with a sportsbook. There are also various types of pool games to participate in, giving you a more diverse gaming angle for the tournament rather than one specific betting market.
The chances of winning and playing in more games increase with playing pools instead of sportsbooks, along with saving much more money on losses and winning more on victories!
Most pools have a set cash prize that is much more valuable than betting odds. Pool players have a better chance of winning $1,000 in a pool-style game rather than a +1000 bet hitting.
How to Play in PGA Championship Pools?
Playing in a PGA Championship pool with RYP is the best way to stay in the action from this prestigious golfing event, while also playing against your friends! Our PGA Championship pools come in two styles with the tiered and the salary cap formats.
In tiered pools, the field is divided into six different tiers that are based on the current World Golf Rankings. Select one golfer from each of the six tiers that you want on your team! Each golfer will count towards your team’s final score, and the member with the lowest total stroke count is the winner.
In salary cap pools, each golfer is assigned a salary based on their current World Golf Ranking. Members are assigned a fixed salary cap and can not go over the cap while building a 6-player roster.
Once your group is assembled, scoring works the same way as the tiered format; just sit back and follow your squad!
