The Early Days<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jeudy attended Deerfield Beach High School in Deerfield Beach, Florida, where he played high school football. As a high school senior in 2016, he had 76 receptions for 1,054 yards and 15 touchdowns. Standing at 6’1″, Jeudy has good size and speed. Jeudy was rated as a five-star recruit, the country’s third highest-rated wide receiver, and the 21st highest-rated recruit overall by the 247Sports Composite<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n

The Crimson Tide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jeudy attended the University of Alabama, where he played wide receiver for the Crimson Tide. Jerry Jeudy established himself as one of the best wide receivers in college football during his first two seasons at Alabama. He had great speed and quickness and could create separation from defenders with his route running. Jeudy also showed himself to be a dangerous threat with the ball in his hands and showed an uncanny ability to make plays after the catch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a freshman wide receiver Jerry Jeudy enrolled early at Alabama and participated in spring practice for the 2017 season. He was named the MVP of Alabama’s A-Day spring game<\/a> after catching five passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns<\/a>. Jeudy caught his first career pass in Alabama’s second game of the season against Fresno State. As a sophomore, Jeudy was a consensus First Team All-American and First Team All-SEC selection<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Jerry Jeudy’s Journey to the NFL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a successful college career, Jeudy was drafted by the Denver Broncos as a first-round pick, the 15th overall pick<\/a> of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was the second wide receiver selected, behind Henry Ruggs (Las Vegas Raiders, 12th overall). On July 23, 2020, Jeudy signed a 4-year, $15.192 million contract with the team, with an $8.6 million signing bonus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his rookie season, Jeudy had 56 receptions for 936 yards and seven touchdowns. Per NBC Sports, Jeudy had 12 drops<\/a> during the season. His 44% catch rate was one of the lowest in the league among qualified receivers in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021 Jerry recorded six catches for 72 yards<\/a> in Week 1 against the New York Giants before suffering a high ankle sprain that caused him to leave the game. Jeudy was placed on injured reserve on September 14, 2021<\/a>, but was activated on October 30<\/a> after he healed. Jeudy finished the season with 38 receptions for 467 yards and zero touchdowns<\/a>. Injuries may have limited Jeudy’s second season, but he still showed flashes of potential. With an entire offseason to recover and develop, Jeudy should be in line for a breakout second season in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is expected to have an even bigger year in 2022 as he continues developing his skills and building chemistry with quarterback Russell Wilson. <\/p>\n\n\n

Juedy\u2019s Fantasy Forecast<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jeudy is projected to be a significant contributor on offense for the Broncos in the 2022  NFL season and is a trending player in the fantasy world. He has been praised for his route running and ability to create separation from defenders. With his speed and elusiveness, Jeudy is also a dangerous threat in the open field, especially with powerhouse teammates like Courtland Sutton backing him up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denver is hopeful that Jeudy will develop into a top-tier receiver in the NFL and help lead the team to success in the coming years. Jeudy may have the potential to become one of the best receivers in the NFL for years to come.
