It’s bowl season! Our team has been hard at work this college football season polishing our CFB games, and we’re excited to get the festivities going with our CFB Bowl Pick’em<\/a> and CFB Bowl Confidence<\/a> pools. If you’re new here (welcome, by the way) you might be wondering what the difference between a standard pick’em and a confidence pick’em pool is. We’ve got you covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bowl Pick’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our College Bowl Pick’em<\/a> format is simple enough for the casual football fan to play. We eliminate the spreadsheets, update the leaderboard for you, take the stress from running your own pick’em pool, and handle everything for you. The first thing you need to do is start your pool here<\/a>. We’ll ask whether or not Point Spreads will be used in your pool. Point spreads are set automatically by us, and if you choose to include them, you’ll need to pick the correct team against the spread as opposed to picking them straight up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, UAB is an 11.5-point favorite against Miami (Ohio) in the first bowl of the year, the Bahamas Bowl. If you were to choose UAB with the Point Spread setting on, UAB would need to cover the 11.5-point spread for you to earn points for that pick, meaning they would need to win by 12 or more. Don’t worry, we have strategy guides and expert picks available to help you dominate your pools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If all of that sounds too complicated, you can always run a straight-up pick’em format, where point spreads are not used. Simply pick the team that you think is going to win, and get a point for each correct pick!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bowl Confidence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your group is looking for a heightened skill component for your College Bowl pool, try out our Bowl Confidence<\/a> format. Here, you’ll have the same option as our regular pick’em to include the point spreads or to pick straight-up winners and losers. Once that setting is decided, navigate over to “Make Your Picks” and you’ll notice the biggest difference from our regular pick’em format. You select your team as normal, but you’ll also need to assign a “Confidence Point Value.” This point value corresponds to the number of points that you will receive if you make the correct pick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if you were super confident in Cincinnati covering the -1.5 spread against Lousiville in the Fenway Bowl on December 17th, you could assign the maximum 43 confidence points to the Cincinnati pick. If Cincinnati covers the spread, you’d get 43 points for that pick!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
