Location: Cramton Bowl (Montgomery, Ala.)
Time: Dec. 25, 2:30 p.m. EST on ESPN
Teams: Georgia State (7–5) versus Ball State (6–6)
Line: Georgia State -4.5
Georgia State turned a 1-4 start into becoming a spread darling for Pick 'Em players.
The Panthers covered six of their last seven contests, ending with a close loss to Louisiana. I don't see that level of play changing much against a mediocre Ball State team who has lost two of their last three. QB Drew Plitt seemed to be the lone bright spot, but Georgia State has a solid secondary lead by Antavious Lane and his 5 interceptions along with enough weapons on the offensive side of the ball to take this one home.
Georgia State finishes the season strong and covers the 4.5.
They run an efficient offense and have the personnel on the defensive side of the ball to hold Ball State in check.
The Score: Georgia State wins 27-20
