Frisco Bowl: UTSA vs. (24) San Diego State
The main question here: Which team has enough juice?
Location: Toyota Stadium (Frisco, Texas)
Time: Dec. 21, 7:30 p.m. EST on ESPN
Teams: UTSA (12–1) versus No. 24 San Diego State (11–2)
Line: UTSA -2.5
Summary
This one I'm personally excited about. Not just because I live right down the road from UTSA, but because the Roadrunners have a great chance to end their season on a truly high note. They do, however, get a tough test in the San Diego State Aztecs.
Momentum says ride UTSA, as they're coming off a Conference USA title to basically a hope game... and San Diego State erected a monument to stinking in their title game.
Both teams excel at running the ball, led by Sincere McCormick of UTSA and near 1,000-yard rusher Greg Bell of SDSU, but we're forgetting that UTSA's mascot is literally a roadrunner.
Unless your name is Wile E.... How do you pick against that?
Our Pick
You know where our hearts lie: UTSA caps off their historic season with a win, and a cover against SDSU.
Call it momentum, call it talent, whatever you want to call it, the Roadrunners roll.
Meep freakin' meep.
The Score: UTSA wins 34-27
