Summary

Was a 10-year extension enough for James Franklin? Why not make it 15? 20! 50! Wasn't Paterno there for 200 years? Let's make it 201!

Either way, JF put the rumors that he'd be leaving for another job to bed and showed he's committed to building a program in Happy Valley, a win against a tough Arkansas team would be a great building block for next year. Both of these teams have the opt-out factor to consider with the number of seniors on both sides, and both programs are seemingly headed in different directions. Penn State had higher expectations than Arkansas, but Arkansas rolled to end the year and is riding high.

This game just seems like it means more to Arkansas, as they have the opportunity to show the rest of the nation that they belong.

Our Pick

We like Arkansas to pull off the upset here. They've been playing well since the loss to Auburn in October, good wins over LSU and Mississippi State and a very close loss to Alabama. This is a great matchup on both sides of the ball, but we like Arkansas to continue playing well with the help of QB KJ Jefferson and star receiver Treylon Burks.

The Score: Arkansas, 23-20
