Christian Darrisaw
Christian Darrisaw is a rising star in the league. The Minnesota Vikings drafted the offensive tackle in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he has quickly made a name for himself as a talented player. Darrisaw is a 6’5″, 322-pound lineman with the size and strength to dominate the field. He’s an excellent athlete, with quick feet and good agility. Gaines Adams
Gaines Adams was a defensive end in the NFL who played for the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers drafted him in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Adams was a successful college football player at Clemson University, where he was a two-time All-American.
However, his time in the NFL was cut short when he died of cardiac arrest in 2010. Adams was just 26 years old. An autopsy revealed an enlarged heart, which may have contributed to his sudden death. Jerell Adams is an American football tight end who is currently a free agent. The New York Giants drafted him in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played college football at South Carolina. Adams has also been a member of the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Jerell Adams was born in Pinewood, South Carolina, on December 31, 1992. Adams attended Scott’s Branch High School, where he played football and basketball but spent a year at Fork Union Military Academy after high school.
Danny Aiken
Danny Aiken is an NFL player from Oxford, Connecticut. He played football and baseball in high school, spent a prep year at Fork Union Military Academy, and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2011. Aiken has played for the Bills, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, and the New York Giants. He has not officially retired from the NFL but is currently the head coach of the Virginia Episcopal School football team.
Maurice Anderson
Maurice Anderson is an NFL player who played high school football at Fork Union Military Academy. He was recruited by the University of Virginia and spent four years as a letterman. Anderson was drafted in the seventh round by the New England Patriots. He was a member of the New England Patriots team that won Super Bowl XXXVI. He has also played for the New York Jets, the Miami Dolphins, and the Amsterdam Admirals in Europe.
Linden Stephens
Linden Stephens was born on March 21, 1995, in Euclid, Ohio. He attended Fork Union High School, where he played wide receiver and defensive back. Stephens signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and went on to play for the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He recently signed a reserve contract with the Steelers in January 2022.
Anthony Castonzo
Anthony Castonzo is an offensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts who attended Fork Union High School, a military boarding school in Virginia. He played football, wrestled for the school, and was named an All-State offensive lineman in 2006. Castonzo began his collegiate career at Boston College, where he was a four-year starter and earned first-team All-ACC honors as a senior. The Colts selected him in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and he has been a mainstay on their offensive line ever since.
Dexter Coakley
Dexter Coakley is a former professional American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He played college football for Appalachian State University and was twice recognized as an All-American. The Dallas Cowboys drafted him in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft, and he also played for the St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Coakley was born in Chesapeake, Virginia, and attended Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Virginia. He attended Fork Union High School and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the Southern Conference Football Hall of Fame.
Tyrone Davis
Tyrone Davis is a linebacker for the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers. He was born in Halifax, Virginia, and attended Fork Union High School. Davis played college football at the University of Virginia, where he was met with great success and set the school record for the number of touchdown receptions made (28). He was drafted by the New York Jets and went on to play eight seasons with them, followed by five seasons with the Green Bay Packers. Davis has played eight seasons with the 49ers and has been selected for two Pro Bowls.
