2024 Oscars Category Predictions & Forecasts

The 2024 Oscars is currently set for Sunday, March 10, 2024 and will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. It will be the 96th edition of the Academy Award Show.

Below are the films and categories to keep an eye out for this year. We forecast as many films as possible before next year’s event, as the Oscars betting market is one to attack early.

Best Picture and a few other major categories typically see odds as early as May. Everything Everywhere All At Once opened Best Picture odds at +800 before closing at -2500. It’s important to start betting on this market early for value, so we’ve compiled early contenders for you to consider for next year’s event.

I began covering the Oscars as a betting market in 2022. We hit +1705 (thank you Jessica Chastain) in 2022 and then we topped that in 2023 at +1880 (thank you Everything Everywhere All At Once). Over the last two Oscars we have made $3,585 on picks. Let’s see if we can top +1880 in 2024!
