Rich Paul, the CEO and Founder of Klutch Sports has launched his new sportswear brand Klutch Athletics in partnership with New Balance. Klutch Athletics aims to provide all athletes with high-quality training apparel and empower them throughout their sports journey. With the creation of Klutch Athletics Paul is looking to impact the next generation of athletes through his apparel.
“There’s a gap right now that we can fill,” Paul said in a news release. “We’ve seen other brands moving away from youth sports and training, so we’re focused on bringing the new look of training for the next generation.”
Klutch Athletics will be available for online purchase on April 27; the price for T-shirts and hoodies will range from $40 to $120. For New Balance to work with Paul shows they have a pulse on the intersection between sports and culture.
“Rich has deep cultural roots in the world of sport and together we will realize a vision that has yet to be seen by the modern-day athlete. We always strive to take a differentiated approach — this partnership truly exemplifies our independent mindset as a brand,” said Chris Davis, New Balance’s Chief Marketing Officer.
Rich Paul is a pioneer in sports; he drastically changed the way sports agents represent professional athletes and, at the same time, provided a blueprint for aspiring sports agents to unlock their potential that may not necessarily come from a traditional background. Forbes has named Paul as one of the most powerful sports agents. Klutch Sports’ roster includes notable athletes from the NBA and NFL ranks.
Furthermore, sports apparel is more than what someone wears; what you wear makes a statement, and apparel communicates for you. Ironically, LeBron James and Rich Paul’s relationship began when James saw Paul sporting a powder blue Mitchell & Ness Warren Moon Houston Oilers jersey in passing at an airport. It will be fantastic to witness the types of interactions and relationships Klutch Athletics will impact in the sports world and beyond.
