Kansas City Chiefs Team History

The Kansas City Chiefs, an NFL team from Kansas City, Missouri, participate in the AFC West division. Established in 1959 as the Dallas Texans by Lamar Hunt, the team moved to Kansas City in 1963 and adopted its present name. The Chiefs have secured three AFL titles and were the second AFL team to beat an NFL team in a World Championship Game. Since 2019, they have made it to three Super Bowls and emerged victorious in two, with Andy Reid as coach and Patrick Mahomes as quarterback.
