The Pittsburgh Steelers are an NFL team and one of the oldest franchises in the NFL. They are based in Pittsburgh and compete in the AFC North Division. The team was founded in 1933 by the Rooney Family, and they have been the owners ever since. The Steelers have a large fan base known as Steeler Nation. They have won six Super Bowl titles, tied with the New England Patriots, and have played and hosted more conference championships than any other team. Their home stadium is Acrisure Stadium, which replaced Three Rivers Stadium in 2001.
