They were founded in 1976 as an expansion team in the NFC, then assigned to the AFC West from 1977 to 2001, before rejoining the NFC in 2002. The Seahawks have won 11 division titles, three conference championships and have played in three Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos.
