Summary

Our first bowl game of the 2021 season takes us to the topic of a Beach Boys song: the Bahamas, where The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (6-6) will remove the tiny umbrella from their drinks for just long enough to take on the Toledo Rockets (7-5). MTSU is making their first bowl appearance since 2018 and their second at the Bahamas Bowl, where they lost to Western Michigan in 2015. Toledo also is back at a bowl game since 2018. They, too, find themselves at 0-1 in the Bahamas Bowl. The good news? One team has gotta win this one. Also: nobody really loses in paradise.

Our Pick

Aruba, Jamaica, ooo I wanna take ... ya, Toledo. Even at -10.5. They hung tough against Notre Dame (only losing by 3 in South Bend) and junior Toledo running back Bryant Koback is a beast I just don’t see MTSU stopping. He’ll hang 100+ yards and 2 scores. With Toledo's Jamal Hines pass rush on top of it? Nah. This one won’t be close.

The Score: Toledo wins and covers, 34-21

The Actual Score: Middle Tennessee State 31, Toledo 24
