New Orleans Bowl: (23) Louisiana vs. Marshall
Which team is gonna bring the best voodoo energy?
Location: Mercedes-Benz Superdome (New Orleans)
Time: Dec. 18, 9:15 p.m. EST on ESPN
Teams: No. 23 Louisiana (12–1) versus Marshall (7–5)
Line: Louisiana -5.5
Summary
The Ragin' Cajuns are truly raging in every sense of the term. They've ripped off 12 straight wins since their opening loss to the Texas Longhorns (who have since totally imploded, apparently) and we don't see them slowing down here.
The coaching change is something to note, but that shouldn't be an issue here. Stud dual-threat QB Levi Lewis is poised to end his career on a high note, while the QB/RB duo of Grant Wells and Rasheen Ali for Marshall could struggle to keep pace.
Our Pick
While Marshall has done its own good work this season, they also got smashed by Western Kentucky in the C-USA. It's hard to pick against the Ragin' Cajuns in this one. And I don't see how the line is even this close.
The Score: Louisiana wins in ragin' fashion: 31-10
The Actual Score: Louisiana 36, Marshall 21
